For this project I decided to re-imagine the sounds of language as fitting into musical scales.
Below are two examples of writing translated into sound. The first is a Poem by Ezra Pound, using a 43 tone scale. The second is in the Rotokas language, and uses a 12 tone scale.

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.
Rera iare perapaisi viki-pa-ta-voi garutuvira
(You are throwing the soccer ball to him slowly
I am sitting)
