some research involving nomads and travelling architecture
I think it’s interesting to consider how small you can go. What is the most essential for a nomadic traveller? Is it possible to have “plug in” communities where people use corresponding parts that they carry to attach to the landscape? (ie pressurized air spouts that then become inflatable housing, filtered water, plug-in solar panels). These examples have more to do with entertainment and commerce than survival, but I think some of the concepts can definitely be applied.
Emergency relief kits are also good precedent for nomadic design.
